Patient-Facing Services & Medication Data

This addendum, added on 29 May 2026, covers EL.V. Life Sciences’ processing of patient data in connection with monobenzone cream orders and other prescription-medication supply services. Where this addendum and the general privacy policy above appear to conflict, this addendum controls for patient-facing services.

What patient data we collect

When you order monobenzone or another prescription medication from us, we collect:

  • Identification data: Your name and shipping address
  • Contact data: Email, phone, WhatsApp number
  • Medical data: Your prescription image (PDF, JPG, PNG), the medication name, strength, dosage and any notes on the prescription
  • Prescriber data: The prescribing physician’s name, registration / licence number, and contact information (from the prescription)
  • Order data: What you ordered, when, where it was shipped, payment confirmation
  • Communication data: Your messages to us on WhatsApp, email, or the order form

Why we collect it

We process this data for the following purposes:

  1. To fulfil your order — dispensing the medication, generating the invoice and prescription cover letter, arranging tracked shipping
  2. To comply with regulatory record-keeping — Indian pharmaceutical export regulations require us to retain prescription records for a defined period
  3. To support customs clearance — providing documentation to destination-country customs authorities where required
  4. To answer your questions — including ongoing service for repeat orders
  5. To process payment — passing necessary data to our payment service providers

How long we keep it

  • Prescription images and order records: Retained for the period required by Indian pharmaceutical regulations and the destination country’s import regulations (typically 5 years from dispatch), then deleted
  • Communication records (email, WhatsApp): Retained while the customer relationship is active; deleted on request unless a regulatory hold applies
  • Payment confirmation records: Retained per Indian tax and accounting law (typically 8 years)
  • Backup copies: May persist in backups for a limited additional period; deleted in the normal backup-rotation cycle

Who we share it with

We share patient data only as follows:

  • Shipping carriers (DHL, FedEx, India Post) — name, shipping address, contact phone, customs declaration
  • Customs authorities in destination countries — prescription information when requested by a customs officer for clearance purposes
  • Payment processors (bank, Wise, payment platforms) — payment-relevant data only
  • Our prescribing-physician verification process — limited contact with the prescribing physician’s clinic to confirm prescription authenticity, where verification is necessary
  • Our internal medical reviewer — anonymised case discussions for editorial purposes (no identifying patient data shared)

We do not sell patient data. We do not share patient data with marketing affiliates. We do not share prescription images with third-party advertising platforms.

International data transfers

We are based in India. Our manufacturing partner facility is in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India. When you order from a country outside India, your data is transferred to India for processing. Where the destination country’s data-protection law requires additional safeguards (for example the EU’s GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses), we comply with those safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (subject to our regulatory record-keeping obligations described above)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Port your data to another service
  • Withdraw consent to non-essential processing
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@indiapharmafranchise.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.

EU/UK customers (GDPR / UK GDPR): You can also contact the data-protection authority in your country if you believe we have mishandled your data.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have specific rights under California law including the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale (we do not sell personal information).

Children’s privacy — extra care

Monobenzone is not indicated for cosmetic skin lightening and is prescribed in paediatric vitiligo only under specialist supervision. If your prescription names a child as the patient, we require the child’s parent or legal guardian to be the contact party for the order and to consent to the data processing on the child’s behalf.

Security

Prescription images and patient data are stored on access-controlled systems. Communication is encrypted in transit. Internal access is limited to staff who need it to fulfil orders or comply with regulatory obligations.

No security is absolute. If you become aware of a security issue affecting your data, please contact us immediately at contact@indiapharmafranchise.com.

This addendum is reviewed quarterly. Last updated 29 May 2026.

Editor note: This is patient-data-specific privacy language. Please have it reviewed by a lawyer experienced in cross-border health-data transfers (particularly if you intend to actively market in the EU, UK, or California). The retention periods are conservative defaults; your actual regulatory obligations may differ slightly.
