Uniqueen Monobenzone Cream — Micronized 20% & Uniqueen Plus 40%

Uniqueen Monobenzone Cream — Micronized 20% & Uniqueen Plus 40%

Prescription-only. Uniqueen contains monobenzone, a prescription-only depigmenting agent for extensive vitiligo. Not a cosmetic skin lightener. See our prescription policy.

What is Uniqueen?

Uniqueen is the monobenzone cream brand of Unique Pharma & International (Unique Lab & Research Centre), based in Mehsana, Gujarat. Established in 2013, the company is one of the larger dedicated monobenzone producers in India and exports across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Two product variants are sold under the Uniqueen brand:

  1. Uniqueen 20% Cream — the standard FDA-equivalent strength, in a micronized formulation designed for finer particle size and improved skin absorption
  2. Uniqueen Plus / Benoquin 40% Cream — the higher-strength variant, used off-label by some dermatologists for patients who need faster response or whose 20% response has been inadequate

What makes Uniqueen different

Two practical differences from other Indian monobenzone brands:

1. Micronized 20% formulation. Standard monobenzone preparations contain monobenzone in particle sizes that can vary. Micronizing the active ingredient (reducing the particle size to a more uniform, finer range) is intended to improve the consistency of skin absorption and the visual uniformity of application. Some dermatologists prefer this formulation, particularly for facial application.

2. 40% strength availability. Uniqueen Plus / Benoquin 40% is a higher-concentration option used when patients on standard 20% have not responded adequately after several months. The trade-off is increased irritation risk. The 40% strength is off-label — not FDA-approved at this concentration — but is clinically used and supplied by Indian manufacturers under prescription.

If your dermatologist has recommended 40% specifically, Uniqueen Plus is the most widely-available source. For background on the 20% vs 40% decision, see Monobenzone 20% vs 40% — Which Should You Choose? (publishing soon).

How Uniqueen works

Monobenzone — Uniqueen’s active ingredient — is taken up by melanocytes in normally pigmented skin and triggers their selective destruction. As melanocytes are eliminated, the skin loses pigment-producing capability and progressively depigments to match surrounding vitiligo patches.

The 20% strength typically produces full depigmentation in 6 to 12 months with twice-daily application. The 40% strength may show visible lightening as early as 4 to 8 weeks, though it must be used cautiously because of higher irritation risk. The full mechanism is explained in our depigmentation therapy guide.

How to order Uniqueen from India

  1. Send us your prescription via the order form, WhatsApp or email
  2. We confirm strength (20% or 40%), pack size, and final price
  3. Tracked shipment with COA, invoice and prescription cover letter

For 40% Uniqueen Plus orders, the prescription must specifically name 40% strength — we do not substitute higher strength than the Rx specifies.

Shipping

Uniqueen ships to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, EU, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Kenya, the Philippines, Bangladesh and most other destinations. See the international shipping page for full list and country-specific customs guidance.

FAQ

Is Uniqueen the same as Benoquin?
Same active ingredient — monobenzone — at 20% (or 40% in the Plus variant). The discontinued Benoquin was 20% standard formulation; Uniqueen 20% adds the micronized formulation benefit.

Why would a dermatologist prescribe 40%?
Typically because the patient has been on 20% for 6+ months with inadequate response, or because the vitiligo is particularly resistant. 40% is more aggressive — and more irritating. The decision belongs with your dermatologist, not the supplier.

What’s the difference between Uniqueen and Uniqueen Plus?
Concentration. Uniqueen is 20% micronized monobenzone. Uniqueen Plus is 40%, which the manufacturer also labels “Benoquin 40%” for international markets.

Is the 100 g jar better value than the 30 g tube?
For patients treating large body areas — yes. Per-gram cost drops significantly at 100 g. For patients treating only face and hands, a 30 g tube usually lasts 4–6 weeks.
